He is much heaver than Sonic, being almost heavier than Fox, and although he's slower than Sonic, he has the highest acceleration in the game, meaning he reaches top speed quicker than any other character. While Sonic relies on hit-and-run tactics, Metal Sonic uses his tools to chase-and-kill. Metal Sonic is an aggressive rushdown fighter with a big emphazis on speed.

However moving too much ruins the charge and you will have to use down B to make it go up again. He can power himself up which increases his speed, damage and knockback.
